iPhone Dev-Team Releases RedSn0w Update for Unlockers

The iPhone Dev-Team has released RedSn0w 0.9.6b5 for unlockers stuck at the 05.14 or 05.15 basebands.

The new redsn0w 0.9.6beta5 is out. It gives both Windows and OSX users the ability to flash the iPad 06.15 baseband on iPhone3G or iPhone3GS. It fetches the baseband files directly from Apple for now (the only IPSW you ever point it at is the stock IPSW for the FW on your iPhone right now). There may be a long delay while it’s doing this (their servers are getting pounded right now).

thanks a lot dev team for updates but i am new to this can u kindly tell me wht to do with redsnow which firm ware to choose i have 3gs 4.1 basebad 5.14.02 and its jailbreak done now how to unlock plz guide thanks

i uninstalled facetime off my 3gs n now that im trying to rejailbreak the phone it allow me to fully get pass the command lines on my screen so i can flash the basband? im stuck PLEASE I NEED HELP TO RECOVER MY TO WORKING AGAIN INTO FW 4.2.1 BASEBAND 6.15!!!!

I have tried many times to enter DFU mode using the instructions in redsn0w, but it just starts up normally. Yes, both the home and power buttons work. Yes, I am doing it correctly. I have no idea what to do! I have a iOS 4.1 on an iphone 3g that is currently jailbroken. BB 05.14.02. Really want to update to 06.15.00 so I can unlock again. Please help me get into DFU mode!!!

can i still do the unlock process if i already have limra1n on my iphone 3gs? or should i take limera1n off?please help...

you can still unlock just dont install cyida and only do ipad baseband and then install ultrasnow worked for me

works on 3G, 4.2.1, win XP How to: 0) back up SHSH on tinyumbrella (although I don't know if this makes a difference now that you're updating the baseband to 06.xx 1) shift-restore to 4.2.1 firmware. 2) run redsn0w, choose that 4.2.1 firmware you just restored to. 3) choose install cydia, and upgrade to ipad baseband (and anything else you might want). 4) follow the directions on redsn0w to enter DFU and let redsn0w do it's thing. 5) you need a AT&T sim (doesn't have to be an active account) to get into the phone 6) turn off 3G 7) use Cydia to install the new ultrasn0w 1.2 8) turn off phone 9) install non AT&T sim 10) restart phone 11) UNLOCKED! The moving thing from b4 didn't work for b5. I ran it as windows service pack2 compatible and it seemed to work.

5.13 can already be unlocked with ultrasn0w 1.1-1. But, if you are updating to 4.1 or 4.2.1, then yes, you want this new redsn0w. I just used it on my iPhone 3GS (new bootrom) and it worked perfectly.

how you do that? still confusing...mine is 05.15.04 4.2.1
