3DBoard is an upcoming Cydia tweak that gives your Springboard icons a glasses-free 3D effect.

The tweak is by Apoc269 and will be available in the Cydia Store soon for $4.

This crap ain't worth 4 dollars if it's gonna drain battery with it. It's a smart tweak but it's not even worth 99 cents.

Not worth the price, considering that I lose this if I lose my jailbreak. I would pay $1 for it, but $3? I rather just wait for a cracked version...

Damn. You guys act like it's Apple's fault or the Devs' faults you can't easily jailbreak. You should expect Apple to make it difficult. It's their product. You should have learned at 3.1.3 to not upgrade and jailbreak so soon. I'm still on 4.0, stock, out of the box, unlocked, and enjoying better perks at 4.0 than those at 4.1 or 4.2. Don't update so soon. Maybe you'd enjoy your phone more. If pay $4 for this.

Now that is some really clever programming. The gyro/compass must detect the angle and rate of rotation of the device and rotates the springboard icons in relation to the tilt/rotate. Impressive! :)

I not buying ish else from cydia when the iphone can barley be jailbroken these days. Back when i was confident that the next JB was coming i bought a lot of crap from cydia. Not anymore! These guys cant even tell us a f&%^ing date that a JB/ unlock is coming for christ sakes, and you want me to buy more crap for my crappy tethered JB, not unlocked for 5 months phone? WTF. Im getting the playstation phone FTS. KMA.

It looks like he's using the gyroscope or whatever to detect when you are tilting the device, so depending on the angle of the iPhone, it will show you a different portion of the background on that side of the app, thus giving the icon a 3D effect because you are under the illusion you can actually see the background behind the app icon. Sorry if this doesn't make sense, but it makes sense in my head lol. I'm guessing once you see this in person on your own iPhone or someone else's you'll really be able to tell the difference.

I'm gonna throw out the thought that maybe it's head tracking- that's a much better way to do this. On the other hand that's a lot harder to create, and seems unlikely based on the way he was tilting the phone. But with head tracking, you don't need to be moving the phone for the effect, just the slight changes in how you hold your head will make it work.

Thats pretty sweet, but $4? Really? YOu are asking for that to be pirated, and believe me, it will be cracked the same day. YOu are better off at $0.99 if you plan on making any money!

100% agree :) i pay for all my tweaks except 1 (sleepFX) witch is a much more cool tweak than this, and i got the cracked version bcoz the developer ask for $5 for it.. and guess what, it got cracked 20min after it's launch :)

yeah i agree i try no to get cracked tweaks..but if the dev is gonna be ballsy and ask for that much forget it.. i wouldn't pay more then $2 and that seems like a lot for what this tweak does.. oh and sleepfx is bad ass!..but again not for $5..

i don't see nothing at all (even with my 3d Glasses) and pitching a video like this for a $4 tweak will not buy anyone's happiness :( do another video with a 3d glasses on ur camera or make a better tweak that will b actually worth $4.

It looks like the icons are floating on the screen, if you watch closely there's a shadow below icon moving in a realistic way with the phone.
