I think that Apple needs to build a controller device and allow developers to build it into their apps. That way you could play games by either having the physical controller, or by using the touchscreen. This would get all the people that want a controller for handheld gaming instead of a touchscreen to consider the iPhone or iPod Touch, it would be a win for Apple.

If so then I'd probably use the controller at home and the touch on the go, would be awesome though!

Yeah, but does any game support this? How is it going to work with FPS games where you have to touch to shoot? Nice in theory!

If anyone buys this please let us all know how it works. Also, are they only making a limited number of these? Or will they produce more once the initial release is sold out?
