Apple has unveiled a first look at "Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed," a new dark comedy thriller starring Tatiana Maslany and Jake Johnson. The company confirmed during its press day that the 10-episode series is set to premiere globally on Apple TV on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
Created by showrunner David J. Rosen, the half-hour series follows Paula, played by Maslany, a newly divorced mother navigating a custody battle and an identity crisis. Her life spirals after she becomes convinced she witnessed a crime, pulling her into a chaotic mix of blackmail, murder, and youth soccer as she launches her own investigation to uncover a larger conspiracy.
The ensemble cast features Brandon Flynn, Murray Bartlett, Jessy Hodges, Jon Michael Hill, Charlie Hall, Kiarra Hamagami Goldberg, Nola Wallace, and Dolly De Leon. Hailing from Apple Studios, the project is directed and executive produced by David Gordon Green. Rosen also serves as executive producer alongside Simon Kinberg, Audrey Chon, and Bard Dorros. Rosen previously worked on the Apple TV detective drama Sugar, which is set to return for its second season in June.
This announcement adds to a crowded slate for the platform, which was rebranded to simply Apple TV late last year. It fits into the company's aggressive strategy to deliver new original content nearly every week throughout 2026. The series will launch with the first two episodes, followed by weekly releases through July 15.
