Apple Says iPad 2 Demand is 'Amazing'

Apple has commented on the iPad 2 launch saying demand for the new device is 'amazing', according to The Loop.

"Demand for the next generation iPad 2 has been amazing," Apple spokesperson Trudy Muller, told The Loop. "We are working hard to get iPad 2 into the hands of every customer who wants one as quickly as possible."

Apple wouldn't comment on how many devices have been sold. The Loop notes that Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster believes the iPad 2 was sold out by Saturday. Munster also estimated that 70% of buyers were new to the iPad, 47% purchased a 3G model, and 41% purchased the 32GB model.
