Michael Roopenian has modded the Apple keyboard with wooden keys in an attempt to enhance a user's connection to their keyboards through texture and variation.
Roopenian's first goal was to engage the touch sense in key recognition. His second goal was to better attune the keyboard to innate human sensitivities.
After looking at the most frequently used keys and finger positions and movement patterns the wooden keyboard mod was created.

Lol, not sure what else to say here. Perhaps this is a valid product for the visually impaired. Other than having a neat keyboard, I would say this is a useless mod. I'm waiting for Apple to hook directly to my brain personally :)
