Apple Bans Apps That Pinpoint DUI Checkpoints

In Australia we even have a law that requires police to put up a physical sign on the road informing that a trap is used in a location as you drive by.

That kind of defeats the purpose.

That really depends on the purpose!! Is the purpose to write as many tickets as possible? Then it would defeats the purpose... If the purpose is (which i would hope) to make people slow down to improve safety in that area... Then the purpose is NOT defeated by putting up signs warning about the \"trap\"

In Australia all trap info is published on tv, online and radio.

In the UK this would not work as you have to be told where the traps are.

Then overseas it wouldn\'t be called a trap. A trap is to catch someone offguard. Plus if you\'re dumb enough to drink and drive through a known checkpoint I have no words for you
