A WWDC 2011 survey done by Piper Jaffray's Gene Munster reveals some interesting information about iOS developers.
According to Fortune, Munster published the results Monday in a note to clients that compared the responses of the 45 developers he spoke to last week to 20 he surveyed at the same event three years earlier.
Highlights: ● Mac developers have dropped from 50% to 7% ● 47% of iOS developers also develop for Android, 36% for BlackBerry. ● 51% believe iOS has highest potential for growth, 40% say Android, 9% say Windows Phone 7. ● Biggest single complaint about the App Store is Apple's strict limitations.
The most intersting aspect is the big number of developers who believe in growth of Win mobile platform. Might be surprice there - a platform that provides something else than iPhone candy and a copy of it. Nokia providing top end hardware for that and i got sudden urge to switch from iphone Win Nokia. Getting bored with iOS after been using the platform from v1.0 and the numbers show im not the only one!
Bored of iOS ? And where are these numbers you quote..??
Android will face the same fate as iOS... Slowing down on apps and developers..
By all means go to win7 with no copy paste!

This comment relies on future total sales and proportion of android platform vs. iOS. The android platform has more available model options and cheaper than apple iOS. Apple plans to introduce cheaper iPhone lineup would most likely mitigate this issue. The field is wide open....time will tell. Also to consider is a significant growing segment of developers to the jail broken devices. Dr. Nir Hus MD. PhD., Surgeon.
