Pegatron has reportedly landed orders to manufacture 10 million units of the iPhone 5 with shipments to start in September, according to DigiTimes.
As iPhone gross margins are relatively small, Pegatron aims to compete for orders for iPad, MacBook Air and other Apple products and has increased production equipment and employment, the sources said.
There has been much debate of late as to whether Apple will release the device in September or October. We think the earlier the better!
