AudioBrowser, is a text-to-speech browser for iOS that is seeking funding via KickStarter. The app combines the interface of Mobile Safari and the iPod to make listening to your favorite web articles easy.
Text-to-Speech is the conversion of written text into spoken sound. So it would essentially be as if you had an audiobook for any webpage/website you ever wanted, when you're using audiobrowser. Before, users could only read the web on their mobile devices, now they could read it, listen to it, or do both at the same time! Additionally audiobrowser allows readers to Play, Pause, Fast Forward and Rewind webpages that are being read to them, like songs on an iPod. audiobrowser supports 30+ different languages and 60+ voices, which lets users listen to their favorite website in multiple voices and languages. Furthermore, audiobrowser features only the highest quality voices to make the web listening experience more enjoyable, making it easier to understand what is being read.

For those interested in doing their own kickstarter project, there is an entertaining and informative video at http://bit.ly/kikpat4. It's based on a talk I gave to the CT Inventors Association.
