Apple has seeded iPhone Firmware 2.1 Beta 4 to developers and has removed push notification from it.
The 2.1 beta 4 contains "bug fixes" as usual; however, Apple has decided to remove the push notification service in this release "for further development."
The feature had been available since the first 2.1 beta as is critical to developers who are looking to create applications that deal with messaging.
