Samsung wants a complete ban on the sales of the iPhone 5 in Korea, reports The Korea Times.
"Just after the arrival of the iPhone 5 here, Samsung plans to take Apple to court here for its violation of Samsung's wireless technology related patents," said a senior executive from Samsung Electronics, asking not to be identified.
"For as long as Apple does not drop mobile telecommunications functions, it would be impossible for it to sell its i-branded products without using our patents. We will stick to a strong stance against Apple during the lingering legal fights."
Another executive told that site that Samsung is taking a stronger stance against Apple because "we are quite confident".
"If Samsung wins in Germany that will give us a big breakthrough and so will other envisioned efforts against such products as the iPhone 5."
Apple recently won a preliminary injunction against the Galaxy Tab in Germany; however, Samsung has appealed this to a higher court.
Has anyone recently used the Samsung Galaxy S2? If not then they should coz they've stepped up their game. Also it's more of an open-user rather then apples end-user, for rather then limiting yourself from the apples limiting supply of apps (without an app you really can't do much) and control freak market which they're just hyping it up for no reason. They just need a excuse not reason to be part of media which iPhone owners are not getting it. Android is by far a better OS then Apples iOS. It's like wanna introduce something or a product they just add "I" in front of it. Seriously get a better stance and understand that it's ok to name their product something else other then just using I's for everything. Samsung is doing everything they think is right jus like apple is. Even if it means to ban them let em. It's about time some gave them a taste of defeat unless they pay off them judges so that Apple get decision in their favor then samsung can't do shit about it. Just like all the other cases they've won. Lol.
If apple is so confidant their products are better than anyone elses, then why are they so scared of competition that they have to sue them?
Let each company's products and sales speak for themselves.
There was a time when people say "If you can't beat them, join them." And now is the time for "If you can't beat them, sue them." It likes suing other company gives you better income rather than competing with better products.
