How long it will take Apple to launch the iPhone 5 after it announces the device, asks Fortune.
Paczkowski's sources say "within a few weeks." But in a note to clients Tuesday, Ticonderoga's Brian White suggests that the lag time between unveiling and release is likely to be considerably shorter than that, especially given how late in the year the iPhone 5 event is occurring.
Taking a look at the chart below you can see that the wait time between iPhone announcement and launch has decreased from 201 days to 17 days over the life of the device. For the iPad it started at 66 and was reduced to 9.
We're hoping for as little of a wait as possible!
