Google has removed its just released Gmail app from the App Store for repair.
The application was just launched this morning and customers have been loudly complaining that its just a web app with startup errors, push notification problems, no offline cache, laggy, and does a bad job at rendering emails.
After pulling the app Google said:
Earlier today we launched a new Gmail app for iOS. Unfortunately, it contained a bug which broke notifications and caused users to see an error message when first opening the app. We've removed the app while we correct the problem, and we're working to bring you a new version soon. Everyone who's already installed the app can continue to use it.

I downloaded the app before it got pulled. I got the error message too snd there are no notifications whatsoever (it doesn't even appear in my Notification Center) however apart from that it is a very good app. I'm using it instead of the default email. The layout is identical to the Google+ app with a black/grey interface and left menu. The error message is only when logging in for the first time and so doesn't affect you again. I'm going to keep using it until they release an update to fix notifications.
I could not even be able to download it from app store, let alone getting error or bug while using application. When tried to download clicking the download link, it takes me to app srore and prompts the error message. Any suggestion?
Thanks.
