Apple to Overhaul All Its Product Lines in 2012?

Apple is reportedly preparing to overall all of its product lines in 2012, according to DigiTimes.

"Apple plans to completely overhaul its product lineups, including iPad, iMac, iPhone and MacBook Air, in 2012"


The site expects Apple to finalize order volumes for key parts and components for the next-generation iPad in December. Apple has asked makers in the supply chain to develop flat panel modules and LED light bars for two iPad prototypes, codenamed J1 and J2, the sources revealed. In a different report, the site says Apple will release an updated iPad 2 in March and the 'real' iPad 3 in Q3 2012.

DigiTimes sources also say that the next-generation iPhone and iMac are unlikely to be revealed until the second half of 2012 and a recent Macotakara report said that Apple is making progress on the development of an ultra-thin 15-inch MacBook.
