Sprint has been rolling out 'network enhancements' designed to improve data speeds for iPhone owners who are experiencing poor performance on their network, reports CNET.
"Initial customer response to the improvements has been very positive," Fared Adib, vice president of product development for Sprint, said in a statement to CNET. "Sprint continues to monitor device and network performance to ensure that customers get the performance they expect from our products."
Since the launch of the iPhone on Sprint, customers have been complaining of slow data speeds. One topic on the Sprint customer service board has over 376,000 views and 1,700 responses.
CNET notes that this problem isn't universal. In their tests, Sprint performed very well, even better than Verizon.
Has anyone with Sprint noticed any speed improvements of late?

The first 2 weeks of the iPhone rollout the network speeds were almost comical! Siri wouldn't connect to the server, gps wouldn't work. But after monitering the network with the speedtest.com app the speeds have almost quadrupled in the recent weeks. Good job sprint!

Speed test from app market, last time I remember running the test I had 0.30mbs download speed 0.15mbs upload...(I remember because it was horrible )
After reading this I ran a test just out of curiosity, 1.56mbs download 0.70mbs upload
I say there was a improvement.
(recent test on 2bars, first test I'm sure I was at work where I usually have all 5 bars)

I made the switch from TMobile (iPhone 4 Gevey Sim) to Sprint iPhone 4S & my only knock on the data plan is the YouTube speeds. Everything worked great but that. I thought it was the signal but my friend who has the iPhone 4 on AT&T loaded YouTube very fast on his 3G. But I do have faith that Sprint will fix this & it will be just fine.

Also keep in mind that AT&T's 3G data speeds are faster than all the other carriers.

I actually returned my iPhone before the 14 day trial, the phone was practically an ipod because pages wouldn't load sometimes, app store never loaded period, never got to see youtube in action because it would finish loading, everything i did was on WiFi. The bad part of this was that i exchanged it for a GS2 eoic touch, and my speeds are fine with this phone, so dont know why its only on the iPhone. Good thing returned it when i did, i would of been stuck with a phone with no Data even tho i had unlimited Data.
