App Store vs. Android Market: Downloads [Chart]

Here's a nice chart by SAI that compares the total number of apps downloaded on the App Store versus the Android Market.

Notice that Google has just past its 10 billionth app download. Apple past that mark in January.


Both appear to be now growing at around the same rate...

How about comparison for apps *bought* from the app stores ? Considering that most of google's market apps are free, that would be an interesting statistic.

Apples only winning so hard because theres no jailbreak for the ipad2/4s. Forcing me to download stuff - £40 last month.
