A price list has surfaced on Sina Weibo which indicates that the iPad 3 will cost more than the iPad 2, reports MacRumors.
The iPad 2 prices are in U.S. dollars at the present pricing, which starts at $499 for the 16GB+WiFi model. The iPad 3, meanwhile, is listed at a starting price of $579 for the $16GB+WiFi model and goes as high as $899 for the 64GB+WiFi+3G model. According to the chart, the iPad 3 costs $80 more for the equivalent Wi-Fi models, and $70 more for the equivalent 3G models.
It's pretty easy to fake this type of information and we feel its unlikely that Apple will change the $499 base price of the iPad. What do you think? Would you be willing to be $70-80 more for a Retina Display device?

I think 16Gb will cost over 600USD... I hate selling my iPad 2 for a really cheap price after 3rd edition pops out.

everyone else is lowering prices for competing in the tabs war but apple has to make there's higher in a time when gas prices are going through the roof,I thought they they would make it compatible in prices and even have a lower 8" to compete with the samsung 7" $199 , Really apple.
