Pod2g has issued a status update on the iOS 5.1 jailbreak noting that its release is at least a month away.
ETA for 5.1 JB: no clue! We're going to set pieces of the puzzle together this week. We could have issues... Could be 1 month maybe 2...
I know 1 month seems long, but it's short to work on a project like this when it's a hobby and you've other things to do as well.
Last week, pod2g reported that the Chronic Dev-Team now has all the exploits required to release a userland jailbreak of iOS 5.1; however, it would take some time to put it together into a useable release.
I agree!! or maybe the Iphone5 will come out too.
But anyways thanks Pod2 we all appreciate your hard work.
Man quit your job ...make this a full time job..dont need a boss you can be your own boss..
Making millions of dollars
This is not an easy process,it takes time and physics to develop stuff like this.
Requires lots of patience .
Look how long we've waited for an unlock..finally is here
Patience is a virtue.it always pays it off.
So guy just be gratefull we have POD2 and dev team that all behind jailbreak .
Without them we have nothing,
Thank you DEV TEAM &POD2 for all your hard work.
really I appreciate personally..Will defenitely send you some $once its released.
Should be release on may 1st: this way it is IOS 5.1 ON 5.1
What you think?
Why is it so hard for people to understand that to release a jailbreak they have to make sure is 1st. Stable, 2nd. User friendly, besides that you think a company that has more money than many countries put together its going to make it simple to be hacked? Come on people have some common sence, they don't get paid, people don't donate when they jailbreak their devices, they do it mainly to break security codes, to keep on learning, and at the end of all to allowed others to modify their devices, be thankful they this and release, ionic has his devices jailbroken but he didnt release a public tool! I don't blame him either
I love reading comments on any story regarding jailbreaking. It's either, "I hope it's done soon but I can wait 'cuz I loveee the devs!!!!11!!" or the comment is even slightly critical and the responses are, "OMFG just do the jailbreak yourself, it's free you can't have an opinion or be critical at all!!!!!!11!!!"
Everyone chill lol
$1 or even $2 isnt bad, I wouldnt mind paying for their hard work, I appreciate pod2g and the others for their hard work. Eventhough I am waiting for a jb for my IPAD 3, I am still ready to wait for as long as it takes. Good luck to them all.
Charge a dollar for every jailbreak. shouldn't be free, like that guy said there are 10 millions jaibreakers out there, that way pod2g leaves his regular job and devotes only to jailbreak!!!!!!
Can't Complain.. Have my iPhone 4S White Unlocked and Jailbroken.. Im Happy Pod2G has done some great work this year! I can definitely wait 1-2 Months. Remember not to update until told so! Save SHSH! Will be donating as much as I can. As it is the most we can do. To support Dev's So they don't get bought out by Apple!
iOS JBscene is dying - slowly but surely! Isn't there anyone else working on this than pod2g, and he just as hobby??? Set up company for this stuff and start charging 1dollar for JB = 10mil breakers would sort out the salaries or big coding army.
Unbeliavable - the demand is huge but one guy is just sorting this out as hobby. Must be bloody joke. Losing my faith in iOS-platform...
Im very thank ful for the scene since first jailbreaks for iPhone OS 1.0 but this is getting ridiculous. One guy doing this shit as hobby, please. Waiting times multiply version after version - soon we are in point that v.8 is out and jail breakers hang on v.5.9..... looooosing my faith. Sorry about that - and to clarify - guys like Pod2g are keeping the scele alive so BIG respect to that. Im just saying that hackers should unite and make a plan for the future of scene.. there should be army of men working on these - the scene got massive support so I'm sure people would back bigger projects up if in return they (we) get the products hacked faster.
Pretty sure there's a reason to give a longer timeframe, although im sure it'll be done much before that. Dev-Tem is known to surprise! Appreciate the efforts though. Thanks.
