If anyone is having a problem with their code or is looking for a place to get a code to unlock their phone, I would suggest giving a go :) It doesn’t cost at all, you just need to complete a short survey (I know, one of those!) but it worked for me so.. it’s worth trying out. Hope this helps!

I would like to ask has anyone recently unlock the iphone 4 locked to bell?? I would like to unlock it to "Chatr" in toronto canada. I have followed at the end and everything supposed to happen, happened and stuck at the itunes unlocking step....I have a couple of questions would like to calrify... 1st: I used and paid the service from iphone-unlockme...and the first step that I followed is sent in my IMEI ID and I received a message stating that I need to wait 10 - 15 days to let apple unlock my this correct?? 2nd: which carrier should i choose if I want to unlock from the original to the new sim carrier when I set up the SAM??? Thank you all~~
J - November 11, 2012 at 1:19pm
SAM unlock is not working for a long time already, so dont bother. And yes, you have to wait certain time, to get unlock, if you used a web service. When the unlock is completed, just restore you phone and it will work.

Hi, thanks for the comment! But may I ask what do you mean by "restore" my iphone?? And may I ask why as long as i sent in my IMEI number then the phone will be unlocked??? Thanks
J - November 13, 2012 at 6:02am
Switch off your phone, launch iTunes, then connect the phone to the computer by holding the round button pressed. hold it until computer says that it has detected a phone in recovery mode, then press restore. Before you do this, back up your phone.

10k - May 3, 2012 at 2:23pm
No service. Did Apple already block this? Is there anything that needs to be undone before making a 2nd attempt?
quiksilver - May 4, 2012 at 6:26am
Like it says on the top. Apple is blocking this unlock method. We are patiently waiting for a new way to unlock our new devices. Hope it will be possible soon.
quiksilver - May 3, 2012 at 11:44am
when can we expect an update or another way to unlock?
rorouni - May 2, 2012 at 2:33pm
Is this Unlock still working? please update us if this is still usable..
PG - May 2, 2012 at 2:35am

ken - April 28, 2012 at 5:34am
I guess this unlocking method is no longer work since Apple has just fixed it. I just tried on my iPhone 4 5.0.1 and it didn't work. Anyone else has the same problem?
cedric - April 28, 2012 at 5:20am
Is it correct that using the SAM unlock, I can only work 2 SIM cards max?
Danny - April 27, 2012 at 9:28pm
I have an: iPhone 4 V: 5.0.1 BB: 4.10.01 JB and unlocked with Gevey Ultra & running Furious Mod I'm tying to unlock it using this SAM method so I don't have to rely Gevey Ultra anymore but every time I click the "Attempt Activation" button I get this notification: "SAM notification "activation reports Error: activationinfo rejected. you must select the original carrier SIMID of your phone." I tried using the Auto Detect method which is recommended and Method to By Country and Carrier and select the phone's ORIGINAL carrier manually (U.S & tried both AT&T) with no luck. Anyone else have this problem or a solution to this?
J - April 28, 2012 at 4:56am

Can this unlock work without an unofficial sim card?
Randy S.
Randy S. - April 27, 2012 at 1:21am
I may be able to get an unofficial sim this weekend, which i fear may be too late. Any suggestions in where to get an unofficial sim in the US? Walmart?
Francisco - April 27, 2012 at 2:34am
Any sim will work :)
spod - April 26, 2012 at 10:38pm
I got it work, following the simple version instructions, with an iPhone4S locked Japanese Softbank and a TalkMobile SIM (TalkMobile is a Vodafone UK virtual carrier). I then inserted the original Softbank SIM, to check if that still worked. It did, but now I've got a problem when inserting the new TalkMobile SIM. It appears to connect to a network (bars and '3G' , with no carrier name displayed), but all calls fail. When it was working with the new SIM, the carrier name was displayed. When I insert the new SIM, SAM shows the activation state as "Unactivated". I select the country/carrier/SIMID (the only way that worked before). When I press the "Attempt Activation" button, the "Activation This may take some time" overlay dialog appears, but very quickly the screen goes blank with a spinning 'restart' icon which is then soon replaced by the lock screen. From the speed, it looks more as if something is crashing, rather than actually rebotting the whole phone. After that SAM still shows the activation state as "Unactivated". I tried deleting and reinstalling SAM, but the same thing happens. Anyone have any ideas on what to try to get it to work again?
m@sterguy - April 28, 2012 at 2:45am
if you read the instructions, it specifically says that this works only with the SIM card you use din the unlock. So it works with your original SIM and the new one. Thats it, so of course it does not work with a 3rd SIM card.

Can anyone please help me - I have Iphone4 from U.S. AT&T, but it has never been activated with its original SIM. I used it all the time with GeveySIM. Now, during activation process it says that it needs original SIM... But I do not have it! :(
JBs - April 27, 2012 at 6:30am
it asks to choose the carrier not,org sim, so go search it manually
J - April 27, 2012 at 8:46am
Yes, I know, but it shows the error anyway... :(
9thsphinx - April 26, 2012 at 4:36am
This method worked for iphone 4, ios 5.01, BB 4.11.08... An easy 8-step approach for those knowing how to install SAM is at......
Tom - April 26, 2012 at 4:09am
This also fixes push notifications too right?
jazzy65 - April 26, 2012 at 3:31am
this worked like a dream. however when i get back to north america, i want to revert back to my regular AT&T SIM, without having to use the SAM unlock process. since ive backed up my original AT&T activation tickets, is there a way to restore them so that my original settings are back? would just feel more comfortable this way.

Hi I am from Uruguay. I unlocked my iPhone 4 with the sam easier way and I can receive but i cannot make a call. Any suggestion ? Thanks.
Sk - April 26, 2012 at 6:48am
I too had similar issue. Restart also didnt work. Even reset network settings didnt gelp Finally I solved it by visiting settings/phone/ enable disable call fwd or call waiting or insternational assist - just did on and off to those settings and then onwards my outgoing calls worked fine. After any reboot I had to repeat above steps. Hope this helps you. Confirm if it works.
elale - April 26, 2012 at 7:15am
Hi thanks for your help. It just worked the first time. Then I reboot and cannot disable/enable the options, it says couldn't save call waiting service.
