ZodTTD Posts Video of iJoyPad iPhone Controller

Posted November 3, 2008 at 7:11pm by iClarified
ZodTTD has posted a video of the iJoyPad controller for iPhone and iPod touch. The iJoyPad was in development around the time firmware 2.0 was being released to the public; however, its development was halted due to the superior iControlPad.

-----
The iJoyPad never made it to mass production, meaning there's only about 10 of these in existance. I know since I have 10 of them sitting next to me. I've had the hardware for many months now, and I felt it would be a shame to never have this funky gadget be seen.

The video tells you a few things about me too... I like to work through the night and that I wore my iPod Touch out from a lot of those sleepless nights. What you don't see is a good sense of scale of how bulky it is and you don't hear the loud clicking noise of the buttons.

iControlPad truly dominates with its quality design and materials. More information and news on iControlPad coming very soon. I know its been awhile but its worth the wait.

For those interested in one of the 10 iJoyPads I have, keep in mind I probably wouldn't be able to support the device in each version of my apps due to the limited number of users. I could make some custom builds of my apps and auction them off on eBay though. Any interest in this?

I'm also wondering why Apple or even Belkin or Logitech haven't created an official version yet. My only guess is that they don't think there would be a market for it. And if that's the case, well I think there marketing team needs to be replaced. I can't wait for the iControlPad to come out myself, I have already contacted the makers a few months ago to arrange becoming an Official Reseller as I strongly believe this product has great potential in the market.

I am really surprised that apple has not come out with their own solution for this. I can think of reasons why they wouldn't, but surely it wouldn't hurt that much.
