A woman described as the 'iThief' has been tearing through Texas stealing over 100 iPads at numerous Walmart and Target stores, according to WFAA News.
The woman has hit 36 cities in North Texas, stealing iPads from 28 Wal-Mart stores and eight Target stores. Striking early in the morning she brings the iPads along with groceries to the checkout, slips the iPads into her bag as the groceries are being checked out, and walks out.
The same woman is wanted in crimes all over North Texas and Oklahoma, from Ardmore to the north, to Sherman and Collin County cities like Plano, McKinney and Allen. She has also struck in Rockwall and Terrell, in Lewisville and Denton and in Cedar Hill and Corsicana. Police say she has stolen $57,000 worth of iPads.
"For her to be successful in this number of thefts, she has discovered a way to beat the system," a police spokesman said. If you have any information regarding the thefts you can contact Detective Rob Ballew with the Criminal Investigation Division of the Sherman Police Department at 903-892-7246.

What sucks is how people abuse the "trust" ppl have in one another; a world without trust does not make mankind better than an animal.

Walmart's problem is that it doesn't matter the department, any customer can purchase merchandise and pay for it up front. Target is the same way.

A) Why the hell would a company allow a customer to take aan iPad to the checkout line by themselves.
B) At BestBuy an employee is supposed to take the iPad directly to the cashier and the cashier check the person out. Just sayin' it's stupid to trust people *that* much.

okay, I guess i should have watched the video first. that's quite clever. Still I'm a bit surprised that Walmart doesn't check bags like that on the way out of their stores.

Walmart usually checks bags and receipts as you walk out, at least they do around these parts. I can't help but laugh at Walmart & Target for putting iPads into bags like that before shes even paid. It should be Pay up if you want the bag. Simple as that.

Oh yeah? So your wal-mart asks you to open your personal "tote-bag" when you walk out? What kind of wal-mart is that? Or, should you watch the video again and understands that she places the ipads in her "tote-bag"
