When you jailbreak your iPod 3rd gen and it messes up can you uninstalle it and take it to the apple store and get a new iPod touch

Hi, I tried recently to jailbreak my ipod touch 4g and I used absinthe 2.0 and I am on 5.1.1 and I did everything like the backing up and restoring it but then I check absinthe and it said something like Sorry your device is not supported.

Not if you restore your iPod before bringing it in. It virtually removes all traces of a jailbreak
