Apple has released a software update for the new MacBook Air.
About MacBook Air (Mid 2012) Software Update 1.0 ● This update is recommended for MacBook Air (mid 2012) models. ● The update includes fixes that improve graphics stability, flash performance, and external display support.
Clearly it is Apple wrestles control away from manufacturers of graphics cards. This update is relating to Nvidia 650M. I believe if they let Nvidia or ATI write drivers for their respective cards, it would help sell more Macpro and iMac, for people would rush to adopt these 2 ad PC replacement, especially gamers. Specs for specs, these macs are a better value. It's just there is little option to upgrade in graphics.
