You guys are truly amazing. As long as one follows the instructions everything goes as planned. I fought Telus and Bell in Canada for unlock codes with no success and you brilliant people have done it with a true tenacious spirit. I truly thank everyone involved.

What hostility! These guys don't get paid to do what they do, and yet you feel indignant for something that is free, and was done because they want to, can do it, could beat apple etc. If you feel so strongly about it, you should take a pill, relax, and buy an android phone. For those of us who want gps back, thanks musclenerd!

I believe(but may be wrong) that the point of the down grade was for those that got their phone officially unlocked with their carrier/apple. You can down grade the baseband and then once connected to iTunes would fully restore the phone and FACTORY unlock the phone. May be wrong but I'm fairly sure this is what it was for. Have a phone on 6.15, AT

Thx for the fix. I have been missing my GPS for a while. It will be nice to be able to use my Tom Tom app again.

guys guys I agree. This downgrade is not that important and all of us that have 6.15 on our cell don't need to downgrade as it works just fine 6.15 is a good firmware as my iphone works as fast as an iPad with it

I have a 3GS 5.1.1 jailbroken and unlocked you need to find the ultrasnow fix for 5.1.1

Ultrasn0w 1.2.7 natively supports iOS 5.1.1, there is no need for an Ultrasn0w fix.

Any update on Unlock for iphone 4 ios 5.1 on baseband 4.12.1
Plz help.
0
Jared - June 18, 2012 at 1:08am
Nope, there is still no way to unlock that baseband.

Sumit - June 18, 2012 at 3:13am
Would it help if i upgrade it to 5.1.1? Is unlock available for that??
0
Jared - June 18, 2012 at 3:20am
Unlock relies on baseband only. It doesn't matter what firmware you are on, if your baseband is not compatible with the current unlock methods, you cannot unlock it.
