FLASHr is an iPhone4/4s case that is powered by the iPhone's LED camera flash, and iOS's built in LED Flash Alerts.
When you turn on "LED Flash Alerts" in your Accessibility settings, your iPhone's LED camera flash lights up for calls, texts, emails, and for all Push Notifications (Twitter, Facebook, Games, or any app with Push Notification settings). FLASHr insures your notifications are seen in vivid color from any orientation and in any situation. For us, this design isn't just about functionality, but it's also about a case that's just fun to roll with.
FLASHr uses a reflective aluminum plate to bounce light rays from the LED camera flash back into the case.
You can pledge $30 on Kickstarter to get one of the first cases in one five colors. The project has raised $1,873 of its $75,000 goal with 35 days to go.

I really want one of these green cases. I think it looks really cool. I love things that light up. I was actually trying to buy one right now but I guess that's not possible yet. and that really sucks for me:( Either way I really like it. Keep going and don't worry about the haters out there:) lol

I'm a teacher and can't have my phone ring or vibrate during class. I like the idea.

You can already do this without this case, just enable flash notifications as showed in the video and you will see the camera flash blink every time you have a notification, call or whatever.
The only thing you won't get is colored lights or side lights, just in the back of your phone

If you mean the number on the back, it's "Phaze 5", the guys behind this project.

I reckon this will shorten the battery life... But not a bad idea.

Not that bad, I'm already using iOS' build-in flash notification, tho still not gonna buy this case :P
