Apple has updated its online store with build-to-order configuration options for the Retina Display MacBook Pro.
Previously, the low-end model that starts at $2199 could only get the 2.3 GHz Core i7 Processor , 256GB of flash storage, and the choice of 8GB or 16GB of RAM.
Now if you select that model you can choose between the 2.3, 2.6, or 2.7 GHz processor, 256, 512, or 768 GB of flash storage, and 8GB or 16GB of RAM.
DAMNIT, I bought one too early and went for the high end($2799)so I could get the 512SSD. Oh well, I still enjoy the one I have now. It is my first Mac and outshines every other computer I've owned. Happy building to those who waited!
