Corning demonstrates the durability of Gorilla Glass 2 which Apple is expected to use for the next generation iPhone.

Watch Corning Gorilla Glass 2 endure a ball drop test, an abraded ring on ring test, Vickers indentation test, a flexibility test, a scratch test and the ball launch test. You will be amazed by the results.

It can be GG 2 or some great technology used only by Apple! The qusetion is the new glass will be scratch and shatter proof? You can say by creating your iPhone 5!

Wow, looks like no need to foil or slap a protective cover on it anymore.. Together with a liquid metal aluminum body quite a value preserving improvement !!!

the problem is never the bending or the scratching really, its the shock to a corner of the glass and they NEVER test this... really annoying.

Its a pity this new gorrila 2 glass wasnt dragged behind a car like the last durability test. I bet this will stak up way better than the last test although still an absolutely pointess test dragging it behind a car. But hey, look forward to the new iphone. Rumour has it its all leaked purposefully by Apple so who knows whats in store for i5.

I hate to say this but it would y surprise me one bit if apple never used gorilla glass. They don't want their products to be indestructible. I mean how many people actually have their screens replaced vs replacing the phone? They want people to buy a replacement phone and tablet because the screen cracked. Look at the retina MacBook pro. You crack the screen, you buy another laptop. I have a feeling we will not see gorilla glass on any apple products.

That is just amazing. This will for sure put a lot of iPhone repair shops out of business. But has apple confirmed that they will use this glass on the next iPhone?
