Images of cases for the new iPod nano and iPod touch have leaked online.
The images show that the iPod nano will undergo a radical redesign, according to MacRumors. The designs are from Italian accessory manufacturer Puro. They appear to corroborate a recent report from Macotakara that predicted a new oblong shape for the device.
The new iPod nano form factor appears reminiscent of the iPod mini, although rumors indicate the front will carry a large screen and home button rather than the smaller screen and click wheel of the iPod mini. Openings along the left edge of the case suggest that the new iPod nano will have some external controls such as volume buttons in the same location as seen on Apple's iOS devices. A pair of small holes are also present at the bottom center of each of the cases, and it is unclear whether these are for a speaker or some other feature of the device.
The images below also show cases for the iPod touch though those look very similar to current design save for a round hole in the bottom left hand corner.
I agree with Walter, the iPad mini will soon replace the iPod touch. I personally like the 6th gen iPod nano as a watch and if they could Add user functionality to work with the iPhone/iPad that would be worth while!
i think this is lame (not apple but the nano) i have the 6th gen ipod nano and i like having it as a watch :D i hope this isn't true and that apple realeases sth unexpectabke as usual
