Apple is planning to release a new oblong shaped iPod nano this autumn alongside its update to iTunes, reports Macotakara.
Case size seems to become smaller in 3 quarters than iPod nano (5th generation), and thickness seems to be thinner than iPod nano (6th generation)'s body without back-clip. Click-wheel interface will not be back, and a hole seems for home-button was on, source said.
A move to an oblong shaped iPod nano with a home button seems unlikely given the popularity of the iPod nano as watch. We'll let you know if any more information is revealed.

Any particular reason why these mockups look like Nokia Lumia Windows Phones?

I think these mock ups look more like the Windows Zune.
