After a bit of difficulty, the online Apple Store now appears to be processing iPhone 5 pre-orders.

Notably some users reported more success with browsers other than Safari.

Let us know in the comments if you've got your order in and where you placed it. We got through using the Apple Store app first.

Why are you guys in such a hurry to get the iPhone 5?? You already have it with the 4 or 4S you currently have....lol

Actually I'm in a LTE market so that alone is huge. Plus I like a lot of the new features as well as the camera and FaceTime over cellular. I travel a lot and always don't have wifi so it's great to see the kids at night. Plus I sold my 4s on gazelle so the new phone only costing me $20.

I have just placed my order at APPLE.COM, but I can't find the engraving feature. Also, I don't know how to order 2 phone at once.

Thats because iPhones aren't engraveable. Only iPads and iPods.

Maaaan wtf I ordered my iPhone a few min earlier than 3:01 and everything went through but y did I get the 2wks ship date?!!!

For some reason, when I was preordering at 3am eastern last night, the apple store allowed me to preorder the iPhone 5 on my iPad, but not my Macbook. Not sure why, but I'm happy I had my iPad on me! My iPhone 5 will be shipped to me on 9/21!!!

Ordered iPhone 5 16GB at the German Apple online store 1 min. after pre-sale was available, went through the ordering without hickups, delivery date October which sucks. Later I erased the adapter which I ordered with the phone. Delivery date came down to 9/21 right away.

Ordered it thur apple.com, at 3:45am EST..np. Sent home, not going to wait in line nor waste my time waiting inline for the phone when I can get it delivered home instead.

ORDERED 1 BLACK & SLATE 32GB THRU APPLE.COM... ORDER PROCESSED AT 3:23AM EST SITE WOULDNT COME UP ON CHROME UNTIL 3:10AM EST... SAYS IT WILL BE DELIVERED ON THE 21ST... HOPING THERE WILL BE SOME EARLY DELIVERIES LIKE LAST YEAR THOUGH :-)

Got mine in at 3am exactly. But was not able to choose pick up at store. It was defaulted to shipping to me only. Which kinda sux cause I've been at release day for every phone/iPad since '07. There's a group of us that camp out. It's kinda become a tradition. And being in line all night and when the doors open is actually kinda fun. They (the stores) pull out all the stops. Catered food, DJ, games. It's actually kinda fun.

Why would you preorder to pick it up at the madhouse of a store? If you were smart you'd get it delivered to your house and if you were a real fanboy you'd take the day off. I work from home so I'm good.

Ordered a 32GB Black at 8:30EST from our Verizon Enterprise Site with no issues. Arriving 9/21!

No problem here...got my black 64GB using Apple Store app on my iPhone @ 12:05AM (PST) and a 64GB white one using Firefox two minutes later...both will be delivered on the 21st....

Was placing the order wright after apple store was up at 1AM (before 1am store wasn't operational), it showed that it'll be delivered on 21st, picked my phone, and it shows that it'll ship in 2 weeks plus 5 days shipping:(( Went back to original page-still shows "delivery on 21st". Ordered anyways but hekka pissed.

They screw me as I have 2 address and it was set one as billing the other shipping and I couldn't change it the system made me do my billing address now I have to drive 40 each way to pick this shit up

You can change your shipping address after the fact if you ordered from the Apple Store.

got 1 white to ship by 9/21 and my other black one which was reserved won't ship till 2 weeks?? wtf i had it reserved within 5-10 mins from it opening on apple. lame..

My transaction went just fine at 3:40am on my iPhone 4S using the Apple app. It went smooth and took a good 5mins. to finish up.

Same here. No other computer worked to place my order, but my iPhone 4S via the 'apple store' went thru easily after tryin so hard to use other methods. Order places at 12:42 am PST. :-)
