iPhone 5 vs. iPhone 4S: Macro Photography Shootout [Photos]

Modahaus has posted a macro photography comparison of the iPhone 5 vs. the iPhone 4S.

The brief reveals we have over 30 pieces to shoot including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings and vintage & rare watches. Now we've arrived at the location I have 1.5 days to set up studio and shoot the lot. The images will be used in a printed catalogue and online. I'll be using a 'focus stacking' technique with my DSLR and I'm going to experiment with that technique using the iPhone 5 and 4S using Camera+ App. * The reason I'm not using a tripod with the iPhone's is, as yet I don't have one to fit the iPhone 5 and I want the comparisons with the iPhone 4S to be on a level playing field. I literally had to sneak in these shots in-between the DSLR shots when my client was away making coffee or taking calls. So let's have a look!

The report finds that although both devices take good pictures the iPhone 5 comes out on top. Notably, the iPhone 5 appears to have a wider color gamut that helped differentiate the different colored sapphires.

They look the same to me. Check what BigBoss has to say of 6.0 and iPhone 5... Don't we all agree with this?? Jailbreakers: Do not upgrade to iOS6 until a jailbreak is released. You will lose all your jailbreak! iOS 6 is a total dud. I think itâs by far the worst major upgrade Apple has ever provided. Itâs more like a 5.1.2 than a 6.0. Letâs take a look at the major differences moving to iOS6 from iOS 5. 1) Removes youtube 2) Removes google maps. 3) Adds apple maps. No street view, no transit directions. Remember, google has been doing maps a long time. No way apple is doing it as well in a few months. 4) Adds what? Facebook integration, ViP mail, do not disturb? iOS 5 users, you can get âdo not disturbâ functionality with âringerx vipâ in cydia. This is definitely not worth an upgrade. And if you are jailbroken on iOS5 definitely do not upgrade to this. You will lose your jailbreak and thatâs definitely not worth it for this. Speaking of disappointments, the iPhone 5 seems equally disappointing. The screen is a little bigger â thatâs great. The device is a little faster, also neat. But the change of the dock is huge. How many devices do you plug your iphones into? iHome, car, chargers. All this requires new cables and all these devices stop working. In my home I have 5 docks for charging in various rooms, a car deck with an iPod cable coming out of it. All this becomes useless if I buy an iPhone 5. Iâll stick with iPhone 4s another year.

I wish I could have siri speaking spanish without upgrading to iOS 6.0 as 5.1.1 doesn't support it. That's my only reason for wanting the upgrade...
