Apple will reportedly launch the iPhone 5 in India on October 26th.
Multiple sources have confirmed to us that Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone 5 in India on the last Friday of this month, which happens to be October 26. As we had exclusively reported earlier, Apple will be distributing the iPhone 5 in India on its own rather than relying on its carrier partners.
Notably, the site has heard that the iPhone 5 will be priced closer to the launch price of the iPhone 4S which recently got a price drop.
Do not get carried away by the news here. Check www.zeebiz.com for what they have to say. They say that Apple did not show any confirmation regarding this rumor. Moreover, Apple is already having supply constraints. You never know if you have to wait for the festive season to see iPhone 5 crawling to the stores. Let's hope we get it sooner this year and at a legit price. A 16GB unit will not exceed 47,500 INR keeping the dollar currency stable at the exchange rate of 53 INR.

I have also confirmed it from Apple Store Situated in Indore they told me that the price will be around 44000 to 46000 at which the iPhone 4s was released.....
they can't even supply the UK market yet so why open up new ones, I placed an order with the online apple store on the 24th September and I'm still waiting, currently they are saying I should have it 26th October............
have u comfermed it from some reliable sources coz 49k i very high n apple wont do dat dey have said dat they will launched it at the same price as the iphone 4s in india n hope so it goes dat way
