Google has announced the biggest Street View update ever for Google Maps.
Today we're making our Street View coverage more comprehensive than ever before by launching our biggest ever update--doubling our number of special collections and updating over 250,000 miles of roads around the world. We're increasing Street View coverage in Macau, Singapore, Sweden, the U.S., Thailand, Taiwan, Italy, Great Britain, Denmark, Norway and Canada. And we're launching special collections in South Africa, Japan, Spain, France, Brazil and Mexico, among others.
Google recently updated its web app for iOS to offer Street View. A native iOS app is said to be months away.

Meh. Apple map app isn't as bad as people are bitching about. Works fine. They'll come out with some big updates in the next couple months I'm sure.
It's their first stab and they did a good job.
I wish they hadn't focused so damn much on the connecter. A chip to make it hard to copy? Really man? That info didn't come out until a bit after the official release.
THey should have included 1 adapter in this first iteration.
The google webapp is fine. Much ado about very little

Competition works. Without Apples new Maps, Google would have not necessarily improved maps at least for iOS users....super, consumers win.
