Help!! I want to know if its possible to downgrade from a non-jailbroken 6.0 firmware to a 5.1.1 jailbroken firmware. I tried to, but since my iPhone4 has never been jailbroken, I dont have the proper iOS5.x SHSH blobs. When I try to jailbreak via Sn0wbreeze or Redsn0w, I stumble upon error 11 or it says I dont have the proper SHSHs... What do I do??? I have an iPhone4 iOS6.0 Official Firmware. I already saved my SHSH blob from this iPhone/Firmware and still doesnt work.

Hi i am having jailbreak iphone 4, IOS 4.1 02.10.04. Trying to upgrade or restore to 5.11 or 5.11b but stop at step 14 (iploading iBSS). From pdwed DFU restoring mode but now prompting me tht I am not on "recovery mode". Which is the actual steps for this requirement (4.1 -> 5.11) ? I had tried tiny umbrella , itunes shift restore method and doesnt work. Initial started with redsnow -stich method and failed. pls advice

I have similar issue. when I restore to 5.1.1, it stops with error 2601. when I tried to get out of recovery loop, it ends up with 'missing keys.plist' error. Please help!

When I download the firmware, it comes up as a .zip file.. and when I go to step 6 it does not show up. :( Please help..

Hey @KrayzieKelz4ya, You need to extract the zip file to get the ipsw file. If you go to your download folder and click on the zip file you should see an "extract" option at the top of the window. Alternatively, you can right click the file and look for the same option. Alternatively, you can double click on the file and it should open. You should then see an option to extract the file at the top of the window. Once extracted you can delete the zip file, and you should see the ipsw under the new folder of the same name as the original zip.

Just to update info, devteam says: Update #2 (Nov 1, 2012): Version 0.9.15b3 fixes the redsn0w “error 2601” that Windows users were seeing using the Restore button.  It also fixes a related Windows iTunes error 14 for stitched files. Note that if you have a baseband, you should probably avoid stitching and simply use redsn0w’s native Restore (not iTunes). Also I have a question- is downgrading a destructive process (that is, will it wipe the phone's apps/content), aka a fresh restore? I assume so, but only question this because of the ability to do an upgrade and restore using ram disk in DFU mode without wiping the phone; I question since this uses DFU mode as well, is it possible to do a non-destructive DOWNGRADE from 6.0 to 5.1.1 or is that just wishful thinking?

Not that i know of iPhone4S due to the fact that the iPhone 4S is not suseptible to the same Limerain exploit as the iPhone 4 or earlier but I have been trying for days now to get some way to work around this. My phone accidentally upgrading when I was doing a fresh re restore and now i cant get stupid IOS 6 off and back to my 5.1.1 jailbreak. Also when I try this, I get some sort of "Cannot Restore" Error message. Any ideas?

Just restored to 5.1.1 (I was on 5.0.1) with Redsn0w...Restore was successful but now I'm stuck at the 'Plug into iTunes' screen...when I plug into iTunes, it says must be restored because it's in Recovery mode...What do I do? I don't want to restore to 6.0 and shouldn't have to.

Yes that works for you! However this downgrade do not work for me on iPhone 4 w. IOS6 ... it says always there is no remote blobs for this iphone!

"iOS 5.1.1 (9b206) blobs" Apparently there are no SHSH blobs for iPhone 4 Verizon CDMA on iOS 6. TinyUmbrela will not work ether.

I am attempting to go from iOS 6 to iOS 5.1.1 After the query step, the window displays "Available remote blobs iPhone3,1 3619936449998 remote blobs: 5.1.1" But when i get to the restore step, after choosing the 5.1.1 IPSW saved locally, i select "Remote: Use remote blobs for restore", it gives me an error message saying no remote blobs found. Help?

Hey Everyone I have downgraded successfully back to ios 5.1.1 and i had my shsh If you also facing similar issue then here the way to fix unexpected error (2601). All you need to do is select “NO” when Redsn0w asks you to prevent baseband update. This is only for iOS 6.0 to iOS 5.x firmware downgrade.

The same technique worked with my iPad 2. I successfully downgraded my iPad 2 wifi from iOS 6 to iOS 5.1.1 using iOS 4.3.5 and 5.1.1 shsh blobs and ipsw. Please make a tutorial for the iPad 2 downgrade.
