Samsung and Google have teamed up to release a new Chromebook that looks similar to the MacBook Air.
The new Chromebook is a great computer at any price, but it’s an incredible computer at $249. It’s one of the lightest laptops on the market. You can easily carry it around all day—it’s 2.5 pounds, a mere 0.8 inches thick, with more than 6 hours of battery life for the typical user. And with 100 GB of free storage on Google Drive*, you can get to all of your stuff anytime, anywhere.
Even with its compact design, it’s packed with performance—it boots up in less than 10 seconds and resumes instantly. High-resolution videos (in 1080p) are beautiful to watch and when using the touchpad, you’ll notice smooth scrolling due to a hardware-accelerated user interface. And as you‘d expect from a Chromebook, it’s easy to share with others. Everyone—mom, dad, grandparents, tech lovers, tech haters—can have separate accounts where all of their stuff is kept safe. Finally, if you’re an active Google user of products like Gmail, Drive, Search, Maps, YouTube, Play or Google+ Hangouts, everything just works seamlessly.
No lies, Apple will have faulty products, but they will cover you if the damage is a hardware defect. Apple may have "overpriced" products, but that is because their products is like a luxury item...if you have the money, you can have it. And when you do have it, it'll last MUCH longer than the cheap stuff you find anywhere else. It's like complaining about people who drive BMWs and Mercedez. Those cars have issues as well...you don't see people rabbling about how they're overpriced and faulty.
This ripoff is total trash. It doesn't even serve any purpose. If I wanted Internet access only I'd use an iPad. If I wanted the functions of a laptop I'd get a proper notebook. This shit is too underpowered, too highly specialised and too big(relatively) to be actually something I'd want to buy.
Nobody is copying here. The whole components inside the machine are different. Also very thicker compare to macbook air. For design wise, portable pc(laptops) were out for long time and there are tons of similar designs due to portability. For instance take a look at this samsung laptop. http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5217/5513776814_dee67e514f_b.jpg
I know its not that similar but you'll get the idea. This laptop was made in 2000. You think samsung copied off of apple? Or did they?
Designs for consumer products changes alot. And there are trending designs that comsumer wants.
I dont understand why people think samsung would copy off of apple when they make more profits in laptop market. If they look similar to others, its because they are following trending design. Not apple.
You don't have to be an apple fan to notice that this is a brazen design ripoff. Maybe you should stop beig a Shamsung fanboy and open your mind and eyes.
Looks nothing like the MacBook Air. It's a different shape, which means it is a different design. Making something the same colour does not warrant it being called a copy or clone.
Looks like a nice product. Think I'll get one.
are you kidding me? This is has to stop !!
Samsung is completely a thieves of Apple innovation .
I think Samsung is observing Apple products.what they sell the most and what consumers high demand they copy it..This is black and white ..
What a judge is going to say about this?
Samsung! This is wrong!!
