Awesome case but not practical

I can personally comment on having owned one for iPhone 4S before that this is a unique idea combining your wallet and your iPhone into one but there's a big flaw if you lose your phone and lose your wallet at the same time that's too much of a price to pay in a society where smart phone theft is up 50% it's a fact unless you know how to defend yourself being out in public every time you wanna read a text or just choose a song you whip out your all-in-one wallet case makes you very vulnerable to thieves. I like what Twelve South do but this case is more of a fashion statement than anything practical.

I have several concerns regarding this design: 1. It's too bulky to fit your pocket comfortably. 2. You must open the wallet every time you use the phone. 3. It may draw unwanted attention in public areas. 4. There's a risk of dropping cards while using the phone. 5. It is relatively expensive for a wallet. 6. Consider these practical factors before purchasing.

When you steal the wallet also steal your iPhone

The BookBook for my iPhone 4 has been a case that just becomes more beautiful with age. When it's time for me to upgrade to the iPhone 5, I was hoping to purchase another BookBook. Adding the big camera hole in the back makes the case look ugly in my opinion.

I've had this case for my iPhone 4 for over a year & not had the problems mentioned - ie people seeing my credit cards & ID. I just cover this with my hand as i talk, holding in my hand pretty much like normally. I love having everything together, too. No problem w/ theft with theft either even though I live in a city of 2 million. Great case!!!

Is this a sponsored post? I noticed some very positive comments and was wondering if they are from the manufacturer, as it gives that impression.

No, I don't work for 12South. I'm an American working for a non-profit organization in Budapest, Hungary. After having several different cases for my different iPhones, I just really like the BookBook Case I have for my iPhone 4. It works well for my needs & keeps my pockets lighter w/o a wallet. Sorry to disappoint you - I'm just a very satisfied customer, not an employee.

really folks? people know you have a phone and a wallet regardless so it does not matter if they see your plastic. just because you have plastic does not mean you have money. the iPhone also has a tracker on it to easily find your phone, so run to the cops and track your phone if it gets stolen.

Yes but we all dont hold our wallets to our ear for the whole world to see and grab. Plus you might be able to track the phone but most theives steal the money and credit cards then dump the rest in an ally.

How the person suppose to take the call? How he/she will hold the phone with this case is beyond me.
