9to5Mac has posted a first look at Windows 7 running successfully on VMWare.
They note that you must do a manual install not an automatic install to see success. Also VMWare Tools installed without issue.
- Total install time on base model 4GB RAM Unibody MacBook while running other programs : - Won't do an upgrade from XP or Vista without SP1 - Idles at 15-30% of 1 CPU - It runs way faster than Vista - on the level of XP. Seems to be, dare we say...snappier
I've installed Windows 7 on my Vista PC and on a spare machine
I've noticed its notably slower on Vmware and its a shame the area theme is not full functioning on vmware.
Great Start microsoft
Wow t_01..
You expect that Microsoft, makes a pre-beta and beta working 100% on a 3rd party virtualization software?
Ever thought that maybe vmware, should be the ones updating there own software to support windows 7?
I would hate having a company with costumers like you..
