Apple today released a SMC Firmware Update for the MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.
This update addresses a rare issue on some Apple notebooks where a battery that has accumulated more than 1000 charge cycles may unexpectedly shut down or stop functioning.
You can get the update by selecting Software Update from the Apple menu at the top left of the screen or clicking the link below...

I don't get no updates on this for my macbook pro ! Why ?

No lithium battery should even be used beyond 1000 cycle counts. And that cycle number the battery would be shot and run the risk of expanding.
