AT&T is attacking the T-Mobile over ads that touted the speed and geographic reach of its new 4G network.
The carrier took out a full page ad in the New York Times that reads...
The truth about T-Mobile's network compared to AT&T 2x more dropped calls 2x more failed calls 50% slower download speeds
“T-Mobile’s advertising is a combination of misguided and just plain wrong,” said Mark Siegel, a spokesman for Dallas- based AT&T told Bloomberg. The newspaper ad was “just a friendly reminder of the fact that independent third-party testing says AT&T’s network delivers faster speeds and fewer dropped calls than them.”
T-Mobile's response to the ad? “Wow. Looks like we struck a chord,” Chief Marketing Officer Mike Sievert said. “AT&T doth protest too much. Glad they’re spending their money to print our name.”
I've managed to trick Tmobilee !! After 2 hrs of testing ... Got my wifi hotspot for free ! And its running amazingly fast ! Without any vpn or other things... How to's: use your pc to connect to phone's modem, create dialup conn without any username or passwd, just dial number *99# use a wifi router to share internet trough wan/ethernet nic ICS, configure wan's router manualy to forward you pc's network card ip, use router as a hotspot ... And you can connect 254 devices trough wifi and browse freely - one more thing .. Setup your PC browser for private browsing ( no need for mobile devices) ...and Tmobile cannot do anything about it, this trick is good to share the 70$ unlimited 4G plan where you cannot activate the hotspot service. Enjoy ...
T-Mobile got my business in 2010. Family Plan, which includes a total of 2 iPhones (from AT&T) and 3 HTC One S, Androids from T-Mobile with data plans, unlimited messaging, 1000 min/talk with the monthly bill being $114 a month for these 5 phones on T-Mobile Total including tax and all charges. So Happy with T-Mobile, just love them!
I have posted several threads on modmyi.com with how-to instructions for helping huge numbers of users to make the switch from AT&T to T-Mobile.
T-Mobiles new coverage areas acquired from AT&T with the faster speeds make T-Mobile better than ever and we are all better off money-wise T-Mobile.
The truth is that AT&T has lost millions of subscribers who have moved over to T-Mobile (GSM Handset Networks include AT&T and T-Mobile)
After the failed AT&T/Verizon got a US Federal law passed which imposes a $500,000 fine and 5 years in prison (now the law in US) if you get caught unlocking your phone in order to leave the over-priced prison that AT&T has become for so many people.
Hahah I was there today at disney. Worst data speed ever on tmobile. Oddly strange when i left disney to the parking lot I had more then 5mp d/l speed. Maybe too much cellular activity in disney.
I have AT&T in Providence, RI. LTE gets me 25-35mb/s down and 15-20 up. Cant complain at all. They are expensive tho which sucks but every company is raising prices so cant complain.
I love tmobile cheap plan with unlimited data no throttle but, only thing I hate about tmobile is terrible customer service and they love to charge people anonymously. They get you to pay extra money if you dont look carefully look into your monthly statement.
AT&T and Verizon, only ting I got from this company's was disappointment.when I switch my service to T-MOBILE, my calls and my UNLIMITED,great price, under full people, also I got 2 great phones. T-MOBILE is Number 11111111. I Love T-MOBILE, you have all takes to put this company under you shoes.
AT&T sucks, been customer for several years and is getting worse and worse then better, can't wait to switch in couple months, AT&T sucks too, big time............
Good for AT&T, T-mobile's LTE coverage is almost non-existent just to bad they advertise an android phone instead of the iPhone 5. I remember when apple did good ads like this. R.I.P jobs Cook is destroying your company
My switch from AT&T to Tmobile was great!!! I'm saving 100 dollars on their "sim only plan" We dont experience any dropped calls or any nonsense this ad is saying. To be fair, I didnt experience any problems with AT&T either, EXCEPT for the fact that their way overpriced.
Best switch I ever made from tmohell to AT&T, wayyyyyyyyy better customer service, I've been with AT&T for 2 1/2 yrs and not 1ce did I have a dropped call. I'm in Chicago and from my iph
It all depends on where you are. Some places ATT>Verizon>>>>>>t-mobile. Other places Verizon>>ATT>t-mobile. 3rd place t-mobile>ATT>Verizon, etc. Location, location, location
