New iOS Lock Screen Toggles Concept [Video]

New iOS Lock Screen Toggles Concept [Video]

Posted March 8, 2013 at 6:43am by iClarified
Sentry, the designer behind the popular Auxo tweak, has posted a new iOS lock screen toggles concept.

A short animated mockup of my first take on the idea of quick access toggles and how they would function on the lock screen.

The basic idea is that you can swipe the lock screen to the left to reveal the toggles along the right side of your display.

Take a look below...

@Humza : u can access SBsettings from the locked screen - try it. I like the idea - i am also using the toggles very often. i like SBsettings for this. i like AUXO too but need some colour on the icons to reflect ON or OFF better ( i did my own icons change) i assigned Activator (double tap left status bar) to Auxo toggles and it works in locked screen so i don't really see a benefit for this new tweak What i would like is a DON'T DISTURB toggle based on the position of my iPhone: face down on the table = don't disturb that would be COOL !!!

Great idea. Make it available without jailbreak.

Real nice idea. You know it's called a lockscreen right? With the word "lock"? Important data, including settings, shouldn't be accessable that easily. Just my opinion. I'd take Auxo and its toggles over this idea anyday. As for the Do Not Disturb, I was really hoping Sentry's DND in Notification Center concept would become a reality. Now that's a great idea.

Why would people insist, that they would constantly changing those settings??? to save battery life? Go back to your androids...

Having those setting within easy access in my notification area is one of the main reasons I jailbreak. I use this feature all the time! I need to be able to use gps, bluetooth, wifi, airplane for some situations and some specific apps. For example if I want to use google apps, then thats only going to take 3 minutes to find what I want. Why would I want to have the gps running 24/7, draining my battery? If you only use your phone for about 30 minutes a day, then you're ok. For the rest of us who use it even a medium amount then 1 charge will not last the full day...unless you use quick and simple toggles to turn off what you don't want for the 95% of the day that you don't need them. Unless apple brings out a larger screened iPhone which can support a much bigger battery to power the screen and all these features running constantly, then there is no other option. Unless you're happy with only having a phone between the hours of 07.30 and 16.00 each day?

i have been at situation that i've lost my iphone, and i'm luck that i sett the gps on all the time, so i can lock my iphone remotely through my computer and wipe all my iphone data (in indonesia, when u lost your phone at any place, trust me it never come back) so wipe data is the solution for me ... that's the only advantage of turning on the gps all the time...

Please sign the petition to Obama legalizing Jailbreaking & mandating that the manufacture provide one! Jailbreaking is not for everybody only the BIG BOYS & GIRLS! Open architecture does make things more unstable but Hackers can find new ways of using things Apple has a Monopoly which stifles innovation! is unlawful, violates free speech!

It is not good idea. Because if your iphone stolen, the person can turn WIFI or 3G off. The app "find my iPhone will not work.

turning wifi and 3g off does nothing but turn wifi and 3g off lmao. phone can still be tracked via gps and also if you get the phone stolen, thats your fault

the thief might as well just turn the phone off or get the sim out.

Your phone is not tracked by GPS, its a one way communication and can be toggled off on this concept anyway. If you lose your phone you can get a location by logging in to FindMyiPhone. This sends a message from Apple to your phone via a data connection (3G of WIFI). The phone will then need to work out a location either by GPS and/or Cell Tower Information before sending that information back to Apple. Without Data. No finding iPhone.

Still, it's totally irrelevant whether Find my iPhone needs 3G or not, in an article about toggles tweak. The 'experienced' thief will turn it off anyway - he will not rely on a Cydia tweak, FFS!!! It's anyway something that needs a swipe in order to be activated, and that makes it neat and discrete...
