But the first part of the story starts with Xerox, otherwise, if Apple hadnt copied them after their first Macs theyd be in the dumps. For the iPad, well MS released the tablet computer in 2004. It went unnoticed.

Asus did this even before Microsoft. Apple just patents everyone else's ideas, and they have been doing this for years now.

Also I do understand that this differs slightly from the Asus and Microsoft versions but its pretty much the same thing. We all know apple will sue microsoft for being to similar to their patent.

iPad Pro -- osx running on a iPad that is more like a Macbook air -- the transition was naturally understood - something apple would take on far before windows and intel came out with a touch screen laptop --- the other companies guessed right -- but did they patent their IP?

the Macbook air technologies, do lead apple in a direction for an iPad pro, the convergence or merging of iOS and OSx have been in the talks far before windows 8 and the surface... multitouch mighty mouse and track pads with gestures were first on apple... yet other companies have offered more than apple has --- i still feel apple own this rightfully and will do a better job than microsoft has on the touch gesturization of osx

Another cool idea would be to have a dual boot option for the ipad. When on its own it boots ios and on docking with the base unit it would go into OSX.

However, if you non believers would read and actually understand what you are reading, you would see that the Microsoft surface is a TABLET with a removable keyboard. Apple's patent is for a MacBook with a removable screen.. Remember MacBooks, those things that apple has crunched the competition with....??
