Apple has released a new short film titled "I'm Not Remarkable," highlighting how its accessibility features help students manage the everyday realities of university life. The musical spot pushes back on the usual "superhero" framing often placed on people with disabilities, instead showing them studying, training, going out with friends, and handling the same ups and downs as everyone else.
The film weaves Apple's accessibility tools into ordinary moments. A student uses Speak Screen to hear a college acceptance letter. VoiceOver guides another through a busy campus as they search for a lecture hall. An Apple Watch keeps tabs on workouts. Other scenes showcase Sound Recognition, which can detect names being called, along with AssistiveTouch, Braille displays, and a mix of vision and hearing accommodations available across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
The original song that carries the film underlines its message: people with disabilities shouldn't be framed as "remarkable" simply for moving through life. Everyone faces their own mix of challenges and victories, and Apple positions its technology as something that helps support independence rather than define it. The short ends with the line, "Designed for every student."
The release arrives as Apple continues expanding its accessibility offerings. With iOS 26 and iPadOS 26, the company introduced additions like Accessibility Nutrition Labels, a systemwide Accessibility Reader, and faster Personal Voice setup. Apple also recently marked 40 years of accessibility innovation with a limited-edition phone grip created for users with limited dexterity.
