AOptix has released their Stratus App for iOS which reportedly brings high-quality, standards-compliant biometric capture to the Apple iPhone.
An intuitive yet sophisticated tool, AOptix Stratus App for iOS leverages capabilities of Apple iOS devices for face, voice, and biographic data capture. When used in conjunction with the AOptix Stratus MX accessory, this capability is extended to ISO standards-compliant iris and fingerprint modalities.
--- Highly intuitive graphical workflows guide operators through biometric capture. Captured biometrics are immediately provided to the operator for visual review. Additionally, operators are given graphical feedback of the quality of data based on industry standards.
Biometric data can stored on the iPhone in the encrypted People Database and/or securely transmitted for backend-server processing. The Stratus App for iOS uses industry standard encryption for both data at-rest as well as data in-transit ensuring the protection of personally identifiable information at all times.
Extensive configuration options and administrative functions within the application allow customization of the user experience to match implementation requirements.
Built on open standards, the AOptix Stratus App for iOS easily integrates with other biometric solutions. Because it is built on iOS, other relevant 3rd party apps can be used in conjunction with the Stratus app. ---

Very well put together, once you get the feel of it, you realize that the $7,000 software is not much better.
Well done!
