Alternative Design Concept for Cydia By Sentry [Images]

Sentry, the designer behind Auxo, has posted his concept for a redesign of Cydia.

According to two posts on Dribbble, the design is based on a app store-like interface from an old unfinished project.

Tap bar UI of an old project. Animation was nifty; highlight indent warped in and out via a minimize and expand effect, on tap.

Sentry has published quite a few concepts lately including ones for iOS App Switching, Lock Screen Toggles, Quick-App-Switching, and Do Not Disturb.

How about working on jailbreak for the 4s 6.1.3 cydia is fine and it does the job so why mess with it. We can do without cydia crashing and going into save mode all the time fix that!!!

It's not a redesign, its an alternative app to Cydia. Saurik did not really bought RockApp as how many people would think. Read before commenting.

Yea we need a new cydia maybe improve better on performances and etc... come on its been a long long I mean long time cydia hasn't been updating. Look at apple store and play store. They made major improvements.

AWESOME cos the existing Cydia looks bad, I mean Saurik bought Rock (which looked 100 time better than Cydia) and just killed it off, sad!

Design isn't major issue We need more features, one feature that would save our asses would be sorting installed packages by installed date, cause how many time do we go through respring loop or save mode because of last installed packages

I don´t care for the look of Cydia.. Do something about the "wow you exceeded the number of package names this apt is capable of"-limit ...

Who cares about what it looks like. Aladdin found a magical lamp but its the genie inside that got him excited!!! He didnt sit there and say: "i like the genie but, the lamp is ugly, the lamp needs a new look!". I dont think so Tim. I could care less what cydia looks like, as long as i have access to its tweaks, im good. But good concept though.
