Atom, a new lock screen launcher from Tyler Nettleton & Surenix, has been released in Cydia.
When you think about it, the Lock Screen is the first thing you see when you turn your iPhone/iPod touch on, yet what you do in the Lock Screen is very limited. That's where atom comes in. atom extends the use of the Lock Screen by allowing you the option to choose between any of 6 applications you want to launch, right from your Lock Screen. Getting to your favourite applications has never been so quick and intuitive. atom also re-imagines a new and innovative way of unlocking your iPhone/iPod touch with the ease of almost a flick (up) gesture.
Features: ● All-new redesigned Lock Screen ● Quick access to your favourite apps from the Lock Screen ● Eye-candy animations that will melt your eyes ● Intuitive user experience ● It just works
You can purchase Atom 1.0 from the Cydia Store for $1.99.

I get why accessing some things from the lockscreen might be handy (like the camera), but what's the point of a lockscreen if those around you can access your messages, email, phone, etc????? I think this is stupid, though I do respect those who come up with new ideas like this... just not this one!

I always thought the lockscreen was so you don't inadvertently open apps or dial numbers when the phone is in your pocket. I never use a password for my phones. Not the paranoid type. If I lose my phone, ill just remote wipe it.
I just bought this app and think its very convenient. Don't find it "stupid" at all.
