iOS 7 Finally Brings Call Blocking to iPhones

iOS 7 Finally Brings Call Blocking to iPhones

Posted June 11, 2013 at 3:41pm by iClarified
Apple has added the much requested Call Blocking (Blacklist) feature to iOS 7.

By pressing the (i) button next to an entry in your Recent Calls list you can choose to Block the caller.

You will not receive phone calls, messages, or FaceTime from people on the block list.

Take a look at the screenshots we've been sent below...

This is a smokescreen, worthless misnamed feature. iPhone does NOT block unwanted contacts. iPhone FORWARDS "blocked" number to your VOICEMAIL. and simply hides sent sms to your number. So whoever you are blocking can leave you as many messages as they please and you'll be notified by precious iPhone that spammer left a message. cool ha... NOT!

Please post your IMEI and UDID number so we can report your phone as lost and stolen... We're sick of these stupid adverts.

iBlackList is still necessary because iOS7 apparently does *not* allow you to block calls from unknown or restricted numbers (often telemarketers.) Nor does AT&T offer that feature.

RIP iBlacklist. Apple, about fučking time, now I can stop all the bullshit calls and texts. I hoped you could block unknown numbers, that would be amazing!

In features list they are still light years behind nokia and symbian. But to summarize ios7 : they copied ui from android and one single feature call blocking from nokia. How dare you call this innovation ?!

The real INNOVATION was the developement of the Multi-Touch Smartphone to begin with, and who gets credit for that? APPLE! Then all the others came following and stealing the idea!

I guess not everything coming from Apple is called "innovation". No need to rant so much about their taking other's ideas - like other's do as well.

> Do you think I could find the answer for my question? try loading the app. It has the ability to send the call to voicemail, and you can also have the call show in recent calls. or use the silent ringtone like I posted, and you will also see the call in your recent calls, and you will get voicemail, IF they talk. Lots of other options, load the app and check it out.

How do I know if someone I blocked tried to reach me? Will it appear on my call history or something?
