Pod2g, the hacker who has been an integral part of the last few jailbreaks, has announced that he is 'about to switch to an Android device' after spending some time testing iOS 7.
----- After a few days of iOS 7 beta 1 testing, I must admit that I am about to switch to an Android device.
IMHO, this version of iOS is the worst move Apple did in a long time.
iOS 7 design is awful, it's slow, battery life time is the worst ever, it's full of UI bugs and crashes. OK it's beta 1, but still…
I am pretty disappointed by the features I've seen in iOS 7. No revolution here. No big news. Just kid painting. -----
This would be a terrible blow to the jailbreak community. Hopefully, he sticks around a bit longer and Apple addresses user concerns in its upcoming betas.
What do you think about iOS 7? Love it? Hate it? Let us know in the comments!
Apple need to thing 10 time b4 releasing the ios7 it is the big one that will get apple down back to 1980 s but now we don't have Steve to get apple back on the map my life and work is Apple I do not what to see apple go out Tim if you need help e mail Me i am in apple iphone from 2006 sorry
They need to hire real designers for the job. There are so many talented designers on behance.net, it's a shame that high-profile jobs like this is left to other people.
I don't now about iOS 7 because I am on 6.1 and I saw a few comments and I think you should stay at iOS 6 because you have cydia on iOS 7 you don't have cydia and you must wait for the jailbreak for me you shouldn't update to iOS 7 you should stay at iOS 6 because of cydia and other things ...
He's right. "...awful, it's slow, battery life time is the worst ever, it's full of UI bugs and crashes."
Making playlist on Music app and marking podcast played / unplayed crashes the apps.
The whole system needs serious bug fix but it looks like the system was build ground up so nothing unexpected.
Pod2g probably had given up jailbreaking ios 7 because he probably realize there's no way he can jailbreak it. This could be his way of escaping the jailbreaking scene hehe.
Like I mentioned before, 7mil downloads for the Evasi0n jailbreak in the first 4 days. if half of them donated a dollar, that's $3.5mil.
Pod2g realized after, "testing" IOS7, that the new OS is over his head. Him saying he's switching, is actually him saying, "There's no money in here anymore. Let's jump ships."
I see a few posts here saying that some of these OS Updates came from Win8, Android, & others WRONG most of these upgrades came from the Hacker community & Microsoft, Google & Apple has taken this software often without compensation, something that they (these companies) object to when someone barrows from them!
I think apple should copy more of the jailbreak features. Like a real dedicated home screen with up to date weather and scrolling notifications. Also give users of apple iOS more freedom to customize there device. Geez. That's why jail breaking is so popular. Most people that jailbreak only do it for the customization. It's obviously not that complicated to customize your device because they're litterly thousands of tweaks on cydia that allows for a user to do this. I'm betting they're thousands of apple employees that have jailbroken devices. I love my apple device because it just works. I have had most of all my phones jailbroken and ran with little or no issues. Apple needs to listen to the jailbroken community and not andriod users.
