Netflix Announces User Profiles
Posted August 1, 2013 at 2:32pm by iClarified
Netflix has officially announced a new user profiles feature that lets you keep your suggestions, recently watched, and instant queue lists separate from other members of your household.
-
Today, we are launching a new feature on Netflix that solves that problem and makes it even easier to find something that you will enjoy. You will be able to add additional profiles (up to 5) for each member of your household that uses Netflix. Each person will get personalized suggestions based on what they watch and rate, as well as separate Recently Watched and Instant Queue lists. You can also connect each person to a different Facebook account, to get personalized suggestions from your friends.
We’ve made it easy to add additional profiles, all you have to do is provide a name. Over the next few days, profiles will roll out on most Netflix devices, including the website, iPad, iPhone, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Apple TV, and newer Smart TV’s and Blu-Ray players. We’ll be adding additional devices like the Nintendo Wii and Android soon. For now, you can add more profiles on the website and the PS3, but you can select a profile on any of the devices listed above.
