AT&T has released a statement on iPad Air launch activations attributed to CEO Ralph de la Vega.
“iPad activations on AT&T increased more than 200% over the past three days compared to last year’s launch weekend, driven by consumer excitement around the new iPad Air and the popularity of AT&T Mobile Share, which lets customers add an iPad to their existing data plan for just $10 a month. We also saw strong demand for AT&T Next, which offers customers an iPad for $0 down on the nation’s fastest and most reliable 4G LTE network.”
Earlier today, Fiksu reported that the iPad Air is seeing five times the usage the iPad 4 did two days after launch and more than 3 times that of the iPad mini.

Is this a joke? Apple launched 2 different generation iPads last year(iPad 3, 4). So the people who followed the usual product cycles bought iPad 3 not the 4th(including myself). If they were to compare activity rates with iPad Air, they should combine both iPad 3 and 4.
